Adaptation of the Strategic Plan of the Fira de la Candelera
We make the digital adaptation of the Strategic Plan of the Candlestick Fair
In 2018, the Strategic Plan for the Molins de Rei Candlestick Fair was drafted. That work served to tidy up and set the course for the modernization of one of the most charismatic fairs in Catalonia.
After a gradual and progressive implementation - with tangible results - the pandemic broke out; with the consequent affectation to the normal development of the fair. Consequently, exceptionally, in the last edition a virtual fair was held, exploring an unknown terrain with no previous experience. Despite the difficulties, the indicators show that the virtual candlestick had a strong impact and impact on the online world.
Now, the opportunity has been detected to take advantage and deepen in the digital strategy of the fair. This, despite being present in the previous strategic plan, requires a forced revision for two reasons.
The first, because technology has advanced and is increasingly accepted by both participants and exhibitors. Digital acceleration has provided an opportunity for improvement in this direction.
The second, because in the next editions (which are expected to have a hybrid format) we want to intensify the use of technological tools in order to promote, on the one hand, the shopping experience and, on the other, the economic and social impact of exhibitors and entities.
All in all, the adaptation of the Strategic Plan of the FIra de la Candelera will consist of:
- Analysis of indicators and digital impact in the 2020 edition
- Qualitative meetings with different agents: exhibitors, organization, suppliers, citizens; in order to find out the best technological fit
- Specification of objectives and definition of actions with a purely technological approach
